Do not be confused. I will in NO WAY be voting for McLame & Paltry. The idiots who state that Paltry will win the women's votes must have been deprived of oxygen during childbirth, or perhaps at age 22. The only women who will vote for Paltry are women who were voting Republican already. Or who vote the same way as their husband because 'God told them to' or something equally patriarchal. Gross.
On the hallowed day of November 4th, 2008, I will most likely walk into the school where I am registered to cast my saintly ballot, slip into a booth that wouldn't hold up to a strong sneeze, and cast my vote for the big B.O.
Wait-most likely? Oh, you noticed that?
Here is my confession: Deep in my heart and mind, I hold onto the sad knowledge that while it is a truly historical election-a moment that has been coming for 60 years and taken toll on untold lives and hearts-Obama will really be no different.
BLASPHEME!!!!!
I know, I know. My statements are asinine, truly the rantings of a madwoman! Uh, did you see the profile picture here? Me and that guy-we're twins (yes, I'm an ASS for those of you who are dense). The sad resignation that I will feel when I darken in my little dots is explainable. Until this country pulls itself up out of the over fed, over medicated, media stimulated, instantly gratified, celebrity loving, ostrich-like litigious FUNK that we (yes, I'm part of the problem) currently occupy 'change' is only an idea. There is no real competition in this corrupt two party system. Where are the real mavericks, those who are willing to take a chance because they can-they are not merely puppets of an already tired and over worked machine. In case you were wondering, yes, my middle name is Cynicism. Saucy Cynicism has a nice ring, doesn't it?
I wish I was brave enough to start the revolution. But there is a hole in the ground with my name on it.
